New art- symbolism

 

This new direction in my work I refer to as "symbolic imagery". I work in Mexico some of the year and have been inspired this year with masks: After a period of working with the figure and the ideas of transitions, the new work started with abstractions and words and Digital line drawings. I then progressed into photos and imagery of "things" which have meaning to me as symbols ”. Face mask- representing the mystery of life “who’s mask is this?” "who am I""who does the world see me as" or “mystery of life" face. Flowers- grace,life,growing,beauty. Apple and fruit -food and sustenance Money-necessities, and more, abundance Red lips- love
